Grapefruit is one of my favourite fruits, and I have a few fond memories of eating it (if anyone can indeed have fond memories of eating food!).
Back when I was trying desperately to shed some weight, I started eating grapefruit for my breakfast. At first, I would prod and poke at it, unsure how to eat it. It was just this big off-yellow oval-shaped, alien-like fruit that I didn’t know how to tackle.
One time, I poked it so absent-mindedly that a piece of pulp shot straight into my eye!
My grapefruit was attacking me.
Eventually, I got into the swing of things and I still have grapefruit for breakfast now and then. It has an unusually sweet taste that really excites your senses first thing in the morning.
Not only that, but it’s also a super healthy way to start the day.
