4. Use a hair mask once a week
Treating your hair to a hair mask every week or so will give your hair the deep down treatment that it needs to keep split ends at bay. Whether you use a store bought hair mask or something as simple as mayonnaise, it will nourish and moisturise your hair and help keep it soft, shiny and healthy.
5. Turn down the heat
Everyone should know by now that too much heat can damage hair, but that doesn’t mean that you have to abandon all of your heated styling tools. It is better for your hair if you just let it air dry, so do that whenever you can. When you do use heated tools, use them at a lower temperature setting. Avoid scalding hot showers s too, that can dry out your hair as well.
6. Use a T-shirt to dry your hair
Rubbing your hair dry with a towel pulls your hair about too much and will damage it and cause split ends. Either put your hair up in a towel and let the towel absorb the moisture out of your hair, or gently rub your hair with a T-shirt.
