Smiling instantly raises your spirits by boosting your mood. Start each day with a smile and you’ll be amazed at how better everything feels.
Don’t Rush Your Tasks
Remember when you were a kid and your mom called you in from playing soccer with your friends because it was time for dinner? You were having so much fun that you wanted to stay outside. But your mom was insistent: It was time for dinner.
And so to make sure that you didn’t miss out on anything, you greedily devoured your dinner in 5 minutes flat, before guzzling your soda and racing back outdoors.
Even as we get older, we still whizz through life like this because there is always something else to do.
We rush through our dinner because we need to get back to our desk, or because a film is coming on.
We rush in the shower because we lost track of time and our date is waiting for us.
Rushing through life like this means you miss so much of it. Slow down. Take your time. Be deliberate with everything that you do.
