1. Weight Loss
One of the main factors in acid reflux symptoms is obesity and if you want to drastically change how frequently you get the symptoms, you should lose weight and you can do this by exercising daily and eating healthier foods in smaller portions. 2. Sit Upright More Often
While you cannot sit upright while sleeping, you can sit upright while on the couch after meals.

When you sleep, it would be a good idea to place two pillows on your head so that your head will be situated nicely upright so that you can control or reduce the acid reflux symptoms.
3. Try Magnesium
A main reason why some people use magnesium to relieve acid in the stomach is because magnesium successfully regulates the stomach and other parts of the digestive system and some people develop acid in the stomach because they have inadequate levels of magnesium in the body.
