4. Paint your nails nude

It might be time to stash away your darker nail shades for a while as the makeup artists during NY Fashion had the world raving about pastels, neutrals and nude shades of nail paints. This is the perfect way to complement a bold makeup look like dark shades or smoky eye and was seen on models sporting Carolina Herrera and Diane von Furstenberg. 5. Time to unleash your luscious locks

At the Prabal Gurung and Proenza Schouler fashion show, the makeup artists created a flowing hairstyle for the models that gave a very liberating look. The hairstyles were all about comfort and the out of bed look with messy buns and wavy locks.

6. Add shine to your eye shadow

Create some innovation in your eye makeup by incorporating stylist Dick Page’s advice – use a lip stain to define the edges of your eyelids and complete the look with a dab of mascara. There is nothing like getting playful with your makeup!

7. Go for the tight-lined look

The NY Fashion Week saw the return of the tight-lining trend with stylist Gucci Westman using shades of brown in both eyeliner and eye shadow during the J. Mendel fashion show.
