1 – Brush your hair out thoroughly so it is completely not and tangle free.

 
2 – Before you begin working, look in the mirror and determine where the braided crown should rest on your head. As seen in the photos, it looks best from the top to the back.

3 – Start behind your left ear by gathering together the first three strands of hair to make the braid.
