Practice, Practice, Practice
This is of the utmost importance. Beyond practicing how you will do your makeup or how your makeup artist will do it, give the groom a sneak peak. This is particularly important if you are not a girl who typically wears much makeup. While the new lines may photograph well, it won’t stop you from being shocking to your groom if he isn’t ready for the look.

Primer on your face and eyelids is imperative. This is what will help your makeup last through the whole event. You want to ensure that it will stay in place through many hugs, kisses and the weather conditions. While you might have time to touch it up a bit, getting away to the bathroom is not particularly easy when you are the belle of the ball.

Concealers should be on hand even if you don’t use them in practice. Leading up to the wedding it is likely you will be low on sleep and the bags under your eyes might pop. You will also find you end up eating funny and maybe not taking in enough water. This can wreak havoc on your complexion and you can hide any blemishes with the right concealer.
