Dieting is hard and many women have stopped dieting because they feel too hungry all of the time, or they are tired of the tasteless menu they are forced to eat on their diet. But, you don’t have to do that; you can swap out some of your ‘must have for your diet’ foods with some tasty treats that won’t hurt your diet, but will still leave you feeling full and healthy.

1. Grilled cheese

This may not seem like a food that would be mentioned as a swap, but here is a recipe that will be a little different than what you’re thinking and will still work with your diet. Take a piece of whole wheat bread and spread it with fat-free cheese. Put a little bit of extra virgin olive oil in a pan and toast the piece of bread until it’s your desired crispiness. Now, you are getting some of your carbs and dairy, but only one piece of bread instead of two.

2. Spaghetti squash

Squash is a great source of nutrients to help against gaining weight and it is low in fat and carbs. Swap out the regular spaghetti noodle you would use normally and replace it with the fleshy noodle like texture of squash.

3. Try a lettuce wrap

Sandwiches are a quick meal, but the bread has a lot of carbs and fat that you will want to try and avoid eating too much. Instead of bread, try using lettuce as a ‘wrap’ and spice it up with onions, peppers, mushrooms or whatever you feel like.
